Often people find it hard to think outside the big blue box when it comes to creating a colour scheme for a boys room. I myself have 3 boys and found this a great challenge when preparing not only their nursery’s but also the rooms for age 4+. Once you do start to really look, there are so many wonderful colour palettes that are just perfect for a stylish boys room.
This room was designed by Tommy Smythe who works along side Sarah Richardson. The room was created as a boys room in Sarah’s House 3 – Farmhouse. I recently posted about the kitchen in this home here. I love the fact he has used disposal store bought army type blankets for use on the bed. Great colour & texture and a brilliant idea for a bed cover.
The old barnwood on the ceiling is fantastic and gives a real boyish charm.
Note the little sewn side pocket on the bed to hold bedtime stories… very sweet.
I do love a great boys room and will contine to post about them to give you some inspiration for the little boys in your lives.
