How to create a photo gallery wall – Part 2

Here is some more inspiration that I found on the Young House Love Blog.  They created a brilliant wall gallery in their hallway.  I think its amazing and I love the use of all white frames.

Here are a few key things from this gallery to note.

  1. They have not used all the same frames and their “whites” vary as well, which adds to the character and overall appeal of this gallery.
  2. There is a mix of family photos, letters, sketches and a few “white” pieces like the key on the wall.
  3. Some of the images on this wall were taken from a magazine catalogue. A wall gallery does not have to display photos of your family & friends, magazines can be a great source of fun, quirky or stylish images to hang in your home

One more thing that this couple did is to layout their design with paper on the wall before they started hanging.  Its very important to know exactly what goes where before one hook is hung.

Nice set of posts on creating a photo wall. It can be an intimidating task for a first timer. Here is a link that maybe useful to anyone who is considering putting up a photowall themselves. It runs through a list of things to think about before your start.
