House of the week # 7

I have recently discovered the amazing Tracery Interiors.  They have a stunning portfolio of work and this lake house in Alabama, USA…well it leaves me a little breathless.

This house is awash with a beautiful soft palette of whites, taupes, greys greens and blue.  This colour scheme is a muted version of all the colours found outside the house in the sky, lake, trees and stones. What makes this home do devine is the balance of natural materials such as wood and stone used throughout against the main player – white.

The chairs in this images are fabulous.  They work perfect in this light and airy space.  The use of rugs is a great solution to help define different areas in a large open space as they have done here.

I am sure this is only one angle of the kitchen as I can not see a sink {I think its to the left}. I do love the extra table/counter space on castors.  At first I was not that keen on the pendants but now they have grown on me and I really like them. Wrought iron pops up in many rooms of the house.

Open shelving..oh yes please.  Love that they used the small space next to the range hood for a pretty & practical space. Butlers pantry that uses the full height to store all the glassware & china.

The master bedroom is so simple and beautiful.  The white and taupe colours are perfect. and are carried through into the ensuite.

Can you spy the glass pendant hanging over the mirror?  Its little details like this that make this home amazing.

This guestroom has just two pops of colour but it seems to transform the space. Blue in the curtains and cushions and the rest of the room is the same colour scheme of the house. Also here is the wrought iron again.

Oh my..what a perfect guest room.

Hope you enjoyed this little tour {sigh}.
