House of the Week # 3 – India Hicks Island Style

This is a totally fabulous dream house that belongs to India Hicks & her husband David Flint-Wood.  They live on Harbour Island in the Bahamas {sigh} and have a number of properties that they created into the most devine dreamy homes, full of white and island style. Best of all they have 3 properties they rent out.  Here is the Guesthouse on Hibiscus Hill.

Wood paneling is always best painted out in a crisp white! Note the door frames are in a dark wood which make them pop against the white walls.

So simple and so stylish.  I don’t think you can go very wrong with this formula.

White + Dark Wood + Neutral = Simple Hamptons/ Island Style

A heavenly white bed and mostly white room that is grounded by the dark wood furniture.

I can almost feel the breeze on my face.  This house is stunning.

Painted white deck floors! They look fab.

I hope you enjoyed a peak at this house, its one of my all time favourites and a great inspiration for any of you that are renovating old Queenslanders.
