I love love love Ikea. It is a treasure trove of homewares & furniture. Most people only scratch the surface, heading in to buy one thing and getting frustrated at having to assemble flat pack furniture.
To me its a little bit of heaven. I am an Ikea nerd that goes through the new catalogue, scanning every page for new ideas and new products. Here are a few new things that have popped up onto my Ikea wish list. The new Australian catalogue out any day now
What a lovely fresh boys room. I spy the Foto light pendant in white. Unfortunately the off white only comes in a 38cm not 50cm size. A few of these for my kitchen bench…..
Barometer Lamp $79.99 -Oh yes please! I dont know where I will put them just yet, but still going to buy 2. I have been looking for a nickel lamp like this for a while, and that price is brilliant. It also comes in red for those who would like a pop of colour.
The new textiles range. Fingers crossed this will come to Australia as this was in the US catalogue. The taupe and white stripe cushions are on the list.
The Isala furniture range is a new product line that has been introduced for 2012. I love the new colour palette which includes this soft muted grey and a smokey lilac.
These fab cotton bags are $7.99. Great for summer and the beach. I am planning on buying a few for presents and having their initial monogrammed on. Saw this idea recently on one of my daily blogs {sorry can’t find the post now}.
Going with a vintage vibe, Ikea has a new workspace organising range called Kvarnvik. These are covered in a linen type fabric with a fabulous metal label. A stylish step up from the standard cardboard range.
How sweet are these tea light lanterns, $3.99 each and come in great colours. I love the yellow which will add a bit of bright to our pool area. Great for kids rooms {minus the candle of course}.
Its my twins 6th birthday this weekend and as a part of their birthday celebrations I have agreed to pick them up from school at lunchtime and take them to Ikea. They love it as much as me {for different reasons}.They love the kids playarea, have a hot dog & ice cream. Now that’s real Ikea love. Are any of you Ikea mad?
