On this rainy Autumn Saturday morning, here is a home that makes me pine for summer already. This family have created the classic Hamptons style for their home, thick with white, highlights of dark wood and just a sprinkle of colour. Featured a few months ago on the cover of Australian House & Garden. Be still my beating heart…what a fabulous Sydney home.
Endless summer days entertaining here would be bliss.
I am a huge fan of banquette seating as seen here in this image. Its a great option for dining seating in a narrow space or walk through area. I also think they work really well as a place for the kids to do their homework and somewhere comfy and central to sit with your laptop and catch up on your fav blogs.
Simple yet stunning kitchen. An all white kitchen allows you to add elements of colour and in this kitchen its a soft powdery blue as seen on the banquette and sofa’s. Also a blue rug under the counter stools also adds colour.
Keeping with the neutral theme, this living room is a great example how you can layer colour into a room. The pinks & reds in this room are floaty and well suited to not only this space but to the whole house. Bringing colour into a room does not always have to happen on the walls with paint.
The entry featuring a nice punch of colour…. and again its not on the walls.
This lighting allows you more room on your bedside tables
What a delightful use of pink in this bedroom. A soft pink is always my choice for a girls room, rather than a heavy candy pink.
A very clever home office solution. Built into a alcove that is more like a wardrobe, so you can simply close the doors and its all hidden away.
Hope you enjoyed looking through this gorgeous home. If you would like help to create the Hamptons style in your home please contact me.

Pretty nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!
Such a beautiful home, I can’t decide if I love the pretty girls room or the office more. So lovely.
Hi I am also browsing your website as trying to decide what colour gutters to order. Not sure whether to go paler or darker. Like zinc tin roof and white walls but not sure how strong a grey I should choose? Any tips?? Thanks
