Recently I noticed that I have a bit of a thing for staircases. Now I don’t actually have a staircase in my home but if I did, I fear it would be renovated and changed on a regular basis. I keep discovering fantastic images of stair inspiration, so for those of you with stairs enjoy!
Oh my how I love this idea. I am sure drawers are much more practical for storage space than one big cupboard under the stairs that probably collects clutter. Glass or crystal draw pulls are my all time favourite, bringing a little glam to any draw or door.
Another wonderful way that paint can transform is to paint the risers. This staircase has a lovely coastal beach vibe. I would paint the risers in same colour using tonal changes from dark to light.
For love of typography and helping your little ones count, here is a brilliant idea from a pottery barn kids book.
Another trend to pop up is to wallpaper the rises, which can look amazing. If you are into prints and colour but are not confident to introduce them into a large area in your home, your stairs are such a fun and unexpected place to put some colour, pattern & creativity.
Apologies for the unknown sources, but these two images have been in my collection for ages and have to share them even though I can remember where I found them.
So if you do have a staircase that you climb up and down all day, why not make it pretty…
