I know many of you are huge fans of the Hamptons style of decorating. I adore it because it transcends to fit an Australian home, here in Sydney where the weather is hot in summer and pretty mild in winter. You can take elements from this interior style and put into your home because it really is a timeless classic style.
Best of all you don’t need to live by the sea to use this style of decorating. Its much more classic than beach or coastal style. This stunning home was designed by Victoria Hagan and it is on Nantucket Island {just of the coast of Cape Cod, MA). Her style is amazing and definately worth a peek at her design portfolio.
I love love love that rug! The size, the clean graphic pattern and the colours.
Oh where do I begin with this kitchen…. the details are amazing. The painted timber ceiling, those pendant lights and the fabulous french bistro type dining chairs. This is a great kitchen to use as inspiration as it is not too big and the design is totally acheivable
Simplicity and consistancy. The colour palette, white, wood, taupe and blue.
Doesn’t make you want to run out and paint your house white! Well I am off to source a rug just like this one in the living room….if any one has any suggestions please contact me.

Hi – I really enjoyed this blog…love Hamptons style. Did you ever find out where this gorgeous rug came from and how much it is? I need it / want / have to have it!
